| The featured speaker is Steven R. Feldstein, Shareholder with the global law firm of Heller Ehrman LLP. Mr. Feldstein co-chairs the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group and has over 30 years of experience advising California employers.Mr. Feldstein will discuss significant changes for 2006 to labor and employment laws, including how an employee may be a whistleblower without blowing a whistle; changes in the computer professional exemption; the expanding definition of hostile work environment; when deductions may be taken for partial-day absences for exempt employees; new rules on tracking Internet applicants; wage and hour issues related to rest and meal periods, direct deposit for final paychecks, and personal liability for wage claims. He will provide practical advice for employers in these and related areas of law.
